This autumn Seamus’ plays The McGowan Trilogy, published by Arlen House, came out.

The collection of short plays - Dancing At Lunacy, The Long Wet Grass, and Boys Swam Before Me, has as its central character Victor McGowan. Victor’s job is heading IRA internal security, that is, finding informers in the organization. The plays follow the sociopathic Victor into a world of Belfast drinking clubs after the Brighton bomb to a nursing home in Galway.

The plays had their debut in New York with The Cell Theatre.

In addition to his plays Seamus has a book of short stories out called As Close as You’ll Ever Be with Cairn Press.

Seamus is working on a novel during his residency at La Muse and we’re delighted to have him.
